The Kingston Community Council has applied for and received preliminary approval for funding under the Capacity Building Fund for developing a Community Plan.  The next step is to hire a Planner to help the community develop a plan.

The Community agreed to proceed with developing an Official Plan at a public meeting about 2 years ago.  The process was delayed until after Judge Thompson’s report on land use was completed.

There will be opportunities for the Community to input into the plan through a series of public meetings and focus group sessions.
